As the world celebrates Women’s History Month, it’s important to recognize the achievements and contributions of women in history. From suffragettes who fought for the women’s right to vote to our trailblazers who shattered gender stereotypes and made significant progress in the pursuit of equality and freedom.
The HEAL club at Teaneck High School is helping to promote this spirit of girl power by conducting interviews with everyday female teachers who have inspired students like you and me to grow and pursue our passion. It helps us realize that there are women heroes and leaders all around us who have consciously or unconsciously had a significant influence on our daily lives.
The theme for this year is ‘Inspire Inclusion’ which highlights the need for us to recognize the unique achievements and perspectives of women, especially of those from marginalized communities. It also serves as a reminder that when women are to be included they can forge a better world.
This Women’s History Month, let us try to honor the brave women all around us as well as the ones that came before us. Let us also allow ourselves to be inspired by women’s voices so that future generations of women can thrive and make their mark on history. Let us not forget to check out the HEAL club’s Women of the Month interview!
