Emily Anderson, Staff Writer
My name is Emily and I am currently a senior at Teaneck High School. These first few months have been very stressful with college planning. I know most of you seniors would understand with finding the right college, getting good SAT scores, tracking down teachers for recommendation letters, etc. etc. It’s even more stressful when you have that one college your dying to get into. My first choice is John Jay College of Criminal Justice. Yes, I do want to be a cop. It’s been my dream since I was a kid. To be given a case with evidence and clues and using that to piece together the truth has always interested me. I’m very curious person in that I like to find out the truth. Not only does solving crimes fascinate me but the reason why people commit them in the first place also does. That’s always the one question trying to be answered. Why did they do it? That’s what I’m trying to answer.
Not only do I like the mystery and thrill aspect of it, but it gives me a chance to help people. Nothing gives me greater satisfaction than knowing I’ve helped someone and made their day or their life just a little bit easier. As a cop I would be able to do that. I wanna change the world or help a cause bigger than me.
