Old Tappan(56) Pulls Win Over Teaneck(52) in Friday Night Thriller

On Friday, January 13th Old Tappan came into the game winning eight of their last nine games. Teaneck came into this game winning seven of their last ten games. Old Tappan got off to a fast start, scoring 16 points in the first quarter. But Teaneck came back by scoring 20 in the second quarter which put Teaneck up by 3 going into the second-half. Old Tappan pulled through in the second half by outscoring Teaneck 28-21 and going on to win the game, on Teaneck’s home floor 56-52. Old Tappan was led by Justin Minaya who had 24 points and Kevin Eifert who had 19 points. Teaneck was led by Ja’Quaye James who has 22 points and Adrian Baucom who had 21 points. It was close throughout the game but Old Tappan’s small rally in the 4th quarter put the team ahead, but Teaneck kept it a close game despite the absents of their two-star players (Leondre Washington and Jawaun Daniels).
